O processo da invenção inclui a fase de compressão de uma porção de um estoque cilíndrico (2) em uma terceira seção (13) de uma cavidade de matriz (1). A cavidade da matriz (1) inclui uma primeira seção (12) tendo uma superfície interna poligonal, uma segunda seção (11) sendo mais estreita do que a primeira seção (12) e tendo um primeiro círculo em seção transversal com um diâmetro substancialmente igual ao diâmetro do estoque que é alimentado à segunda seção (11) e uma terceira seção (13) entre a primeira e a segunda seções (11, 12). A terceira seção (13) tem um segundo círculo em seção transversal com um diâmetro gradualmente decrescente da primeira seção (12) para a segunda seção (11).
