Abstract
Patente de Invenção: PROCESSO PARA A PREPARAÇÃO DE ETILENO OU DE UMA MISTURA DE ETILENO E CLORETO DE VINILA PELA REAÇÃO DE ETANO E CLORO. Um processo para a reação de etano com cloro para produzir uma mistura de etileno e cloreto de vinila é apresentado. O processo envolve a mistura íntima de etano e cloro em uma proporção de etano para cloro de pelo menos cerca de 0,9:1 em uma temperatura tal que etano e cloro não reagem durante mistura e aquecimento da mistura até uma temperatura acima de cerca de 215°C para iniciar a reação, permitindo que a reação prossiga por um período inferior a cerca de 1 minuto e provendo calor suficiente para a mistura da reação, de modo que a mistura reagida tenha uma temperatura entre cerca de 400 e cerca de 800°C.
