Abstract
Processo de fraturar um material compacto duro tal como rocha ou concreto, tendo um furo pré-perfurado na área do material a ser fraturado que inclui a inserção de um bloco de material sólido no interior do furo até o fundo do mesmo, e golpear o bloco com uma força de impacto suficientemente grande para levar pelo menos uma parte superior do bloco a transferir o impacto para os lados do furo de maneira a fraturar o material circundante.
