Abstract
A presente invenção provê um sistema de levitação magnética aperfeiçoada para a levitação estável ou rígida de um corpo. O objeto a ser levitado é mantido em uma posição de equilíbrio acima de um guia plano ou uma pluralidade de guias contínuos. A rigidez da levitação é pelo menos em parte obtida pela orientação do eixo através dos pólos do imã em uma direção perpendicular à direção de movimento relativo entre o imã e o condutor.
