Abstract
Molde dispersível em água para fazer uma peça de fundição, o molde compreendendo um material particulado insolúvel em água e um ligante para o mesmo, o ligante incluindo cadeias de polifosfato e/ou íons de borato. A invenção também provê um processo para fazer um molde, o processo incluindo as etapas de: (a) prover um material particulado insolúvel em água; (b) combinar o material particulado com um ligante incluindo cadeias de polifosfato e/ou íons de borato, as cadeias e/ou íons sendo dissolvidos em água; (c) formar ou durante ou após a etapa (b), a mistura de material particulado e ligante na forma desejada; e (d) remover a água livre da mistura. As cadeias de polifosfato podem derivar de vidro de fosfato solúvel em água e os íons de borato podem derivar de um vidro de borato solúvel.
