Abstract
A presente invenção se refere a uma célula eletrolítica (1) compreendendo uma parede terminal anódica (6) e uma parede terminal catódica (5), uma de face para a outra e suportando anodos (8) e catodos (10) em formato de chapa, alternativamente arranjados, estendidos substancialmente perpendicularmente às paredes terminais. Pelo menos parte dos anodos (8) e/ou dos catodos (10) coopera com a parede terminal oposta (5, 6) via elementos espaçadores eletricamente isolantes (4), permitindo assim que forças de compressão sejam transmitidas entre as paredes terminais da célula (5, 6). A invenção se refere também a um aparelho de eletrólise que compreende duas ou mais células (1) de acordo com a invenção. Ainda, a invenção se refere a um processo de realização da eletrólise.
