Abstract

Um hidrociclone de pequeno diâmetro (12), de alta eficiência, para separar constituintes líquido/líquido de uma mistura. Uma parte L~ e~ de separação eficaz da câmara de separação do hidrociclone começa com uma garganta D de pequeno diâmetro (28) onde a aceleração e a velocidade da mistura param de aumentar. Esta parte L~ e~ eficaz termina na saída (16) do fluxo inferior da câmara de separação e possui uma razão de área para volume situada dentro de certos limites para, desta forma, promover a separação eficiente da mistura, em particular de gotículas de pequeno diâmetro ali dispersas.
