Abstract

Fadiga, o fenônemo de falha estrutural ou do sistema, causada por excitações repetidas de níveis de ruído ou vibração de alta freqúência, pode ocorrer sem aviso em carenagens de entrada de ar, dutos de ventilação e carenagem móveis reversoras de empuxo de motores aéreos. Nos projetos modernos de nacele e duto de ventilação, o uso de estruturas compósitas predomina e um componente estrutural compósito é fornecido, o qual não sofre, ou não sofre na mesma intensidade de tais problemas de fadiga potenciais. O componente estrutural tem uma face frontal para exposição à energia geradora de fadiga e inclui uma região frontal compósita a qual inclui a face frontal a qual compreende uma matriz (38) e uma tela de metal ou de liga metálica de alta resistência à fadiga (39) incluída dentro da matriz (38) ou parcialmente incluída dentro desta na face frontal. A matriz (38) está na forma de lâmina e compreende ou inclui uma resina sintética.
