Abstract
CATETER-BALÃES REVESTIDOS COM GOMA LACA E PACLITAXEL.A presente invenção refere-se a um procedimento para revestir cateter-balões com o agente farmacológico paclitaxel e a composição polimérica biológica e biodegradável goma laca e opcionalmente mais componentes. Além disso, a presente invenção refere-se a cateter-balões revestidos com paclitaxel e goma laca obtidos de acordo com os procedimentos de revestimento revelados aqui, bem como ao uso de tais cateter-balões revestidos para a liberação a curto prazo do agente ativo farmacêutico paclitaxel para a profilaxia e o tratamento da restenose, particularmente da restenose causada por angioplastia. Os cateter-balões revestidos se podem usar sós ou em combinação com um "stent" revestido ou não revestido montado sobre o cateter-balão antes ou depois do revestimento com goma laca e paclitaxel.
