Abstract
Um fio de aço revestido de cobre (CCS) é pelo menos parcialmente coberto em seu exterior para visivelmente distinguir o fio CCS de um fio de cobre puro/sólido. Um revestimento, tal como estanho, zinco ou tinta, cobre pelo menos porções do fio CCS. O revestimento pode ser aplicado em faixas, anéis ou uma hélice para identificar o fio CCS como não formado por cobre sólido. No exemplo de um fio torcido, um ou mais dos filamentos, pode ser parcialmente ou inteiramente revestido para dar ao fio totalmente flexÃvel uma estrutura externa distinta.
