A presente invenção refere-se a um artigo absorvente que fornece um sinal visível a partir da superfície superior do artigo absorvente que é indicativo de um benefício funcional do artigo. O sinal é fornecido pelo uso de uma pluralidade de fibras visualmente distintas que são visualmente distintas a partir de uma cor de fundo adjacente da superfície superior.
