A presente invenção refere-se a um composto da fórmula (I) em que R representa átomo de hidrogênio ou grupo C1-2 alquila ou alcoxila; todo R1, R2 ou R3 representa átomo de hidrogênio ou grupo metila ou etila; e X representa grupo CHO, COOR4 ou CN, R4 sendo grupo metila ou etila; e pelo menos um dos referidos R, R1 ou R2 representa um grupo contendo pelo menos um átomo de carbono; a seu uso como ingrediente de perfume, por exemplo, para transmitir notasaromáticas do tipo floral e/ou de anis.
