AlÃ©m de agir como plastificantes efetivos, certos Ã¡cidos, carboxilatos e poliÃ©steres lÃquidos de funcionalidade, hidroxila que sÃ£o lÃquidos a 25 ÂºC podem ser usados como substituiÃ§Ãµes pelo menos parciais para os compostos orgÃ¢nicos mais volÃ¡teis convencionalmente usados como coalescentes e/ou melhoradores de propriedade em composiÃ§Ãµes que formam pelÃcula aquosa. As composiÃ§Ãµes resultantes apresentam menores valores de VOC com relaÃ§Ã£o Ã s composiÃ§Ãµes da tecnologia anterior que apresentam nÃveis comparÃ¡veis de propriedades de aplicaÃ§Ã£o e revestimento.
