Refere-se a presente patente de invenção ao uso de um excimer laser e espelho piezoelétrico para ablar lentes de contato personalizadas, com a finalidade de corrigir aberrações ópticas de alta ordem. O instrumento, objeto desta patente, trata-se de um processo óptico que permite moldar lentes com geometria mais complexa e de forma mais precisa do que com o processo mecânico existente.
