COMPOSIÃÃES DE TRANS CAROTENÃIDES BlPOLARES, USOS DOS MESMOS, E OS REFERIDOS TRANS CAROTENÃIDES.A presente invenção se refere a métodos de tratamento de doença vascular periférica (PVD), bem como osteonecrose isquêmica, isquemia peritoneal, doença ocular crônica, degeneração macular, ou retinopatia diabética, compreendendo administrar uma quantidade terapeuticamente efetiva de um trans carotenóide. A invenção também se refere ao uso de tais carotenóides como pré-tratamentos para mamÃferos em risco de um evento isquêmico.
