Em que um elemento de amortecimento progressivo (1) apresenta valores variáveis e progressivos de deformação inelástica ao longo deseu comprimento, de modo que a extensão da porção deste elemento (1) que sofre deformação inelástica é função da força de tração aplicada sobre o mesmo, que decorre da ação de retenção do usuário durante o impacto.
