Abstract
MATERIAIS POLIMÉRICOS COMO ENCHIMENTO DO ESTÔMAGO E SUA PREPARAÇÃO A presente invenção refere-se a materiais poliméricos expansí- veis que compreendem um polímero, ou copolímero, sintético, que compreende um grupo carboxilico, e um biopolímero, que são apropriados para bio-aplicações. Por causa da sua capacidade de expandir, os materiais poliméricos são apropriados para uso como enchimentos de estômago, para o tratamento de um indivíduo com sobrepeso ou obeso, ou para induzir a sensação de estar saciado. São descritos também métodos para preparar os materiais poliméricos expansíveis, que compreendem sistemas aquosos de reação.
