Os compartimentos de tingimento e fixação/desidratação (1, 2) compreendem um ambiente inerte e são funcionalmente e hermeticamente conectados um com o outro e estão presentes meios (4) para introduzir nitrogênio e/ou ar desoxigenado nos mesmos compartimentos; dentro do compartimento de fixação/desidratação (2) está presente pelo menos um meio (5) para diretamente aquecer e/ou desidratar o fio (3) ou tecido.
