Abstract
CÉLULAS DE LEVEDURA QUE PRODUZEM ACIDO LATICO TENDO L- OU D-LACTATO NAO FUNCIONAL: GENE DE FERRICITOCROMOC OXIDOREDUTASE São descritas células de levedura tendo um gene lactato desidrogenase exógeno e modificadas reduzindo-se a atividade L- ou D-lactato:ferricitocromo c oxidoredutase nacélula. Isto leva ao menor consumo de lactato pela célula e pode aumentar os rendimentos gerais de lactato em um processo de fermentação. Células tendo a menor atividade L- ou D- lactato:ferricitocromo c oxidoredutase podem ser selecionadas pela resistência a ácidos orgânicos, tais como ácido lá tico ou glicólico.
