A presente invenção refere-se a células de aquecimento que são adequadas à incorporação em bandagens descartáveis de aquecimento. As células de aquecimento compreendem uma composição exotérmica compreendendo um material absorvente formador de gel, o qual proporciona uma aplicação otimizada do calor para o alívio de dores e desconfortos corporais temporários ou crônicos.
