Apresenta um fio cirúrgico para ser usado em operações plásticas, dermatológicas e cosméticas, bem como para cirurgia geral, cirurgia de emergência e todas as cirurgias especializadas, é fornecido com projeções inclinadas, espinhos, ganchos ou protrusões que possuem diversos formatos e tamanho pré-determinado, e são distribuídos ao longo de um espiral, bem como estão dispostos em seqüências que são alternativamente inclinadas em direções opostas com a finalidade de impedir que o fio escape ou movimente-se em ambas as direções opostas.
