A presente invenção provê dispositivos e métodos para coletar,armazenar ou transportar suspensão líquida de espécimes biológicos contendo analitos de interesse em um estado seco. Os espécimes biológicos secos contendo analitos de interesse são reconstituídos e liberados para subseqüente análise por compressão da matiz no dispositivo. Também são providos kits para coletar, armazenar, transportar e recuperar espécimes biológicos contendo analitos de interesse.
