A presente invenção refere-se a substâncias, especialmente extratos de plantas, ésteres glicerinomonoalquílicos e ésteres de ácido orgânico, que têm ação prebiótica na pele, especialmente na região da axila, composições cosméticas e farmacêuticas tópicas contendo essas substâncias, bem como o uso dessas substâncias e composições, especialmente para combater o odor corporal.
