A presente invenção refere-se a um sistema de telefonia pré-paga (S), e, mais especificamente, a um sistema de telefonia pré-paga (S) onde o usuário pode utilizar o serviço pré-pago a partir de qualquer terminal desejado, não relacionado ao terminal contratante do serviço pré-pago. O sistema da presente invenção é capaz de interagir com elementos de controle de chamadas de voz e dados de qualquer rede de comunicação (6a, 6b, 6c, 6d) através da utilização de protocolos de controle de aplicação / protocolos de sinalização próprios a essas redes.
