Etiquetas de correio e método de provimento de serviço de rastreamento e serviço de segurança de assinatura para item remetido. Uma etiqueta de correio (10) inclui uma superfície informativa (13) com uma seção de código de barras (16) e uma seção de assinatura (12). A etiqueta de correio (10) pode incluir uma superficie adesiva (11) que fica oposta à superfície informativa (13). A seção de assinatura (12), sendo co-localizada na mesma superfície informativa (13) que a seção de código de barras (16), pode ser escaneável simultaneamente com a seção de código de barras (16) por um único dispositivo portátil de escaneamento. A etiqueta de correio (10) também pode incluir uma seção descritora de serviços especiais (14) e uma seção de endereço (18) sobre a superficie informativa (13).
