Abstract
"PROCESSO PARA INCORPORAR UM SAL METALICO DE UM ANTIMICROBIANO SOBRE UMA SUPERFÍCIE EXTERNA OU DENTRO DE UMA PORÇÃO INTERNA POROSA DE UM PRODUTO PLÁSTICO EXTRUDADO OU MOLDADO E ESTRUTURA PLÁSTICA CONTENDO METAL ANTIMICROBIANAMENTE PROTEGIDA". É descrita uma composição e método para prover proteção antimicrobiana a estruturas plásticas, tais como plataformas, assoalhados, cercas e painéis plásticos. O método compreende aplicar um biocida solúvel em água a estrutura contendo metal, e converter o biocida solúvel num sal metálico de biocida insolúvel em água, que é adsorvido sobre a superfície ou dentro da estrutura porosa do material plástico. A liberação lenta do agente antimicrobiano insolúvel da superfície ou de dentro dos poros de dita estrutura plástica provê proteção antimicrobiana para a estrutura plástica.
