Abstract
"IMPLANTE INTERVERTEBRAL, E, MÉTODO PARA FABRICAR O MESMO". Um implante alogênico (10) para uso em uma fusão intervertebral é formado de duas partes. A primeira parte (20), composta de osso cortical, provê resistência mecânica ao implante, permitindo que a distância apropriada entre as vértebras sendo tratadas seja mantida. A segunda parte (30), composta de osso esponjoso, é dúctil e promove crescimento do novo osso entre as vértebras sendo tratadas e o implante, assim fundindo as vértebras ao implante e entre si. O implante é dimensionado e moldado para se ajustar ao espaço entre as vértebras. Dentes (12) formados nas superfícies superior (14) e inferior (16) do implante impede deslizamento a curto prazo do implante.
