Abstract

"INDUTOR PARA AQUECER PELO MENOS UM COMPONENTE SUBSTANCIALMENTE CILÍNDRICO DE UMA PEÇA DE TRABALHO METÁLICA". Um indutor para aquecimento por indução estacionário de um ou mais componentes de uma peça de trabalho com configuração complexa compreende um par de segmentos indutores. O primeiro segmento indutor é conectado com uma fonte de alimentação de CA de alta freqüência e o segundo segmento indutor é magneticamente acoplado com o campo magnético criado pelo fluxo de corrente CA no primeiro segmento indutor. Aberturas parciais opostas no primeiro e segundo segmentos indutores formam uma abertura em que o componente pode ser indutivamente aquecido. O primeiro e segundo segmento indutor são alternativamente configurados em uma mistura de espira individual, múltiplas espiras individuais ligadas em paralelo, ou bobinas de múltiplas espiras em combinação para reduzir correntes em seção transversal não uniformes através da extensão axial do componente sendo indutivamente termicamente tratado.
