"COMPOSIÇÕES FARMACÊUTICAS COMO INIBIDORAS DA DIPEPTIDIL PEPTIDASE - IV (DPP-IV)". A presente invenção relaciona-se a compostos de fórmula I os quais inibem a dipeptidil peptidase IV (DPP-IV) e são úteis para a prevenção ou tratamento de diabetes, especialmente a diabetes do tipo II, assim como hiperglicemia, Síndrome X, hiperinsulinemia, obesidade, aterosclerose e várias doenças imunomodulatórias. Ou sais farmaceuticamente aceitáveis ou prodrogas destes, onde X, R, R^ 1^, R^ 2^ e R^ 3^ têm as definições dadas na descrição.
