Abstract
"CONVERSOR DE EFEITO DE TUNELAMENTO". Conversores com efeito túnel de energia térmica para eletricidade com um emissor e um coletor separados um do outro por uma distância que é comparável às dimensões atômicas e em que o efeito túnel interpreta um importante papel no movimento de carga do emissor para o coletor através do hiato que separa esse emissor e coletor. Pelo menos uma das estruturas do emissor e do coletor inclui uma estrutura flexível. Os conversores de efeito túnel incluem dispositivos que convertem a energia térmica em energia elétrica e que fornecem refrigeração quando a energia elétrica é fornecida a esses dispositivos.
