"ELEMENTO PROTETOR PARA ENCHIMENTO DE EMBALAGENS". Formada por um corpo(1) de formato basicamente senoidal, constituído de uma massa uniforme(2) que, longitudinalmente, apresenta ondulações(3) com passos de onda(4), preferencialmente, iguais ou menores que a altura(5) entre os pontos extremos e opostos(6) do corpo(1), de modo a possibilitar o melhor aproveitamento e rendimento volumétrico da massa(2) usada em comparação a uma mesma massa de chapa plana(7).
