Um sistema e um método para realizar rapidamente a transmissão contínua de dados para um ou mais dispositivos de cliente (2 ou 2 ), como computadores pessoais (PC s) de um servidor (4) que emprega emulação de disco virtual e difusão ou multi-difusão de dados residentes em um servidor de rede (38), são descritos. Em algumas versões, os dados em fluxo incluem os arquivos necessários para inicializar e configurar um ou mais dispositivos de cliente (2 ou 2 ), os dados incluindo hibernação, O/S e arquivos de aplicação.
