Esta invenção é dirigida a um sistema antioxidante para o uso em óleos lubrificantes, que compreendem isobutileno sulfurizado e fenóis impedidos, que provê resistência à oxidação aumentada e é particularmente útil em motores a gás, ao método para a produção destes sistemas oxidantes, a óleos lubrificantes que compreendem o sistema antioxidante e a métodos para a lubrificação de motores usando um óleo lubrificante, que compreendem este sistema antioxidante.
