"DOCUMENTO DE SEGURANÇA E MÉTODO DE VERIFICAÇÃO". A presente invenção refere-se a um documento de segurança, tal como um papel-moeda ou um cheque, é provido com um padrão de perfuração (5) que tem orifícios (5a, 5b) com seção transversal alongada. Quando da visualização do padrão de perfuração (5) a partir de uma direção que não é perpendicular à superfície do documento, diferentes orifícios terão transmissão ótica diferente, a qual pode ser verificada pelo olho humano ou eletronicamente. Os padrões de perfuração (5) deste tipo são difíceis de forjar e fáceis de verificar.
