Abstract
"MÉTODO PARA RECUPERAR DIÓXIDO DE TITÂNIO DE UMA MATÉRIA PRIMA CONTENDO DIÓXIDO DE TITÂNIO E ALUMÍNIO". Um método para recuperar dióxido de titânio de uma matéria prima contendo adicionalmente alumínio inclui as etapas de triturar a matéria prima de dióxido de titânio, reagir o material de alimentação em partículas com ácido sulfúrico sob condições especificadas, digerir e filtrar o material de bolo resultante contendo sulfato de titanila, se presente, tratar a solução para remover cálcio e/ou ferro, remover por precipitação o alumínio como sulfato de alumínio-amônio, hidrolizar a solução de sulfato de titanila remanescente e, após lavar o hidrolizado, calcinar o hidrolizado para produzir dióxido de titânio.
