Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA A SÍNTESE DE ESFINGOSINA". Esta invenção refere-se a um método para a produção de uma base esfingóide de acordo com a fórmula: que inclui os passos seguintes: (1) dissolver um composto de partida de acordo com a fórmula III, ou um respectivo sal, em um solvente substancialmente inerte, (2) proteger o grupo NH~ 2~ com um grupo protetor de NH~ 2~, (3) ativar C~ 4~HR^ 3 ^ para uma reação de eliminação com C~ 5~HR^ 4^, (4) levar a ocorrência de uma reação de eliminação para formar uma ligação dupla entre os átomos de carbono C~ 4~ e C~ 5~, (5) remover o grupo protetor de NH~ 2~.
