"MÉTODO E APARELHO PARA CORTAR MATERIAIS ELASTOMÉRICOS E O ARTIGO FABRICADO PELO MÉTODO". Descreve-se um método de um aparelho para cortar segmentos (10) em comprimentos desejados a partir de uma tira (1) de componentes elastoméricos de pneus, tendo pelo menos um componente reforçado com cordonéis, método este que envolve a etapa de impactar um cordonel (22) conforme o corte está sendo feito e levantar o cordonel (22) para evitar cortar os cordonéis (22) enquanto se direciona o trajeto de corte ao longo do cordonel (22) levantado. O artigo resultante do método tem uma pluralidade de cordonéis (22) adjacentes a uma superfície de corte plana (8) de emenda apropriada para emenda de imbricação.
