Abstract
"FORMULAÇÕES DE MACROLÍDEOS PARA INALAÇÃO E SEUS USOS PARA O TRATAMENTO DE INFECÇÕES ENDOBRÔNQUICAS". São descritas formulações de macrolídeos, tal como uma formulação de eritromicilamina, para liberação por aerossol. As formulações de eritromicilamina concentradas contêm uma quantidade de eritromicilamina eficaz para tratar infecções causadas por bactérias suscetíveis. Dispositivos de dose unitária tendo um recipiente contendo uma formulação do antibiótico macrolídeo em um transportador fisiologicamente aceitável também são descritos. Também são descritos métodos para tratamento de infecções pulmonares por uma formulação (solução líquida, suspensão ou pó seco) liberada como um aerossol tendo diâmetro aerodinâmico mediano de massa predominantemente entre 1 a 5 gm de tamanho.
