Abstract
"NÚCLEO ABSORVENTE UNITÁRIO, PROCESSO PARA A PRODUÇÃO DO MESMO, ARTIGO ABSORVENTE, E MATERIAL OU ESTRUTURA NÃO TRANÇADO RESPIRÁVEL". É divulgado um núcleo absorvente unitário tendo um peso base de cerca de 75 gramas por metro quadrado ou maior, incluindo uma camada absorvente fibrosa tendo uma superfície superior receptora de fluido e uma superfície inferior com uma barreira de umidade transmissora de vapor hidrofóbica integral com a superfície inferior da camada absorvente. Também divulgado é um processo para a produção do núcleo absorvente unitário, incluindo as etapas de (a) produzir uma camada absorvente fibrosa tendo superfícies superior e inferior, e (b) aplicar à superfície inferior da camada absorvente fibrosa um material hidrofóbico o qual pelo menos parcialmente revista algumas das fibras da superfície inferior da camada absorvente.
