A invenção refere-se a uma embalagem para artigos de fumar, cuja embalagem compreende um recinto selado (1) em torno de uma carga de artigos para fumar e um invólucro de material em folha (7) disposto no exterior do recinto (1). O invólucro de material em folha (7) é de tal modo configurado a proporcionar meios pelos quais o primeiro descerrar do recinto (1) não pode ocorrer sem que o invólucro (7) seja rasgado ou parcialmente ou completamente removido.
