"BROCA DE PERFURAÇÃO". A broca possui um corpo (2) de forma geral cilÍndrica, terminado por uma cabeça (3) e que dispõe, em pelo menos uma parte de seu comprimento, de sulcos de evacuação (5) geralmente helicoidais. O ou os sulcos (5) são delimitados, em pelo menos uma parte de seu comprimento, por uma sucessão de facetas (7), contíguas umas com as outras, e unidas umas com as outras por arestas vivas ou por raios de união (8).
