Um cartão contendo uma imagem de acordo com a presente invenção pode ser utilizado como um cartão de identificação, uma licença de motorista, um passaporte, e outros. Um cartão contendo uma imagem de acordo com a presente invenção compreende uma estrutura de substrato, uma cobertura e um material receptivo à imagem disposto entre a estrutura de substrato e a cobertura. A estrutura do substrato compreende uma camada de substrato e uma camada fixadora do substrato.
