Abstract
"COMPOSTOS ÚTEIS NA REDUÇÃO DO NÍVEL DE FATOR-1 DE CRESCIMENTO TIPO INSULINA (IGF-I) EM SANGUE". A presente invenção provê uma composição farmacêutica ou dietética para diminuição do nível de IGF-I no sangue de mamíferos a qual compreende uma quantidade eficaz redutora de IGF-I de um carotenóide. Ademais, provê-se um método para reduzir os níveis de IGF-I que compreende administrar uma dose efetiva redutora de IGF-I de um carotenóide a um sujeito com carência do mesmo.
