Patente de Invenção: "ELEMENTO CATALÍTICO". Um elemento catalítico (1) para recombinação de hidrogênio e/ou monóxido de carbono com oxigênio, com um corpo de catalisador (2) com uma superfície (4) catalítica, em cuja operação está impedida, de modo particularmente seguro, uma ignição involuntária da mistura de gases, compreende, de acordo com a invenção, uma camada reguladora (10, 10A a 1OD), aplicada sobre a superfície (4) catalítica e/ou sobre o corpo de catalisador (2), para inibição da difusão dos gases de reação, que estão sendo alimentados e/ou evacuados, particularmente em uma usina nuclear.
