Cereal expandido com a forma geral de uma formação de bolas que se tocam, e matriz para a obtenção de um tal cereal pelo cozimento extrusão, a matriz compreendendo um anel de alimentação (1) abrindo sobre uma câmara de distribuição cilíndrica (2) comunicando-se com uma formação de tubos de extrusão paralelos (3) fornecidos em uma parede frontal (4), um inserto de distribuição cilíndrico (5) estendendo-se axialmente a partir do centro do anel (1) até uma distância predeterminada da formação de tubos (3).
