Concebida para compensar os movimentos relativos entre a carroceria de os extremos do eixo de um veículo, dotada de um tubo rígido 40 e no seu interior uma mangueira flexível de borracha flexível 30, que aloja em cada extremo um sistema de engate a rosca com uma porca 10, sendo que é vedado por um O ring 60. Um eixo 120 aloja no seu interior um selo mecânico 130 que veda numa faze 'F' do corpo 160, estando todo o conjunto montado sobre rolamentos 140, que são lubrificados pelo bico 150.
