Trata-se de um sistea de dupla selagem (mecânica e hidrodinâmica) aplicável a motobombas para fluidos, onde, em câmaras independentes (3) e (5), montam-se, respectivamente, o selo mecânico (4) e o selo hidráulico (6), dos quais o primeiro funciona somente quando a motobomba está inativa e o segundo quando esta é ativada. O selo mecânico (5) é desativado automaticamente, o que evita o seu excessivo desgaste.
