São revelados fardos de material fibroso embalados e métodos para embalar materiais fibrosos, tais como fardos de estopa de acetato de celulose. O fardo de material fibroso embalado pode compreender um material fibroso comprimido envolvido em embalagem. A embalagem pode compreender uma folha superior e uma folha inferior que compreende uma aba. Após as forças residuais no fardo embalado terem sido equilibradas após a prensagem, mais de 99 % da área superficial do fardo é envolvida pela embalagem.
