Trata-se de um sistema de controle para operar uma disposição modular de células de eletrólise sob condições de tensão de entrada variável, como aquelas de fontes de energia renovável, para otimizar a operação reduzindo-se o potencial baixo e excessivo de células. O fluxo de fornecimento de energia e de eletrólito para células ou grupos de células é interrompido ou retomado em resposta ao potencial elétrico disponível e ao potencial elétrico ideal exigido pelas células ativas.
