Abstract
A invenção refere-se a um método de intensificar saúde e desenvolvi-mento neurológico em um indivíduo que envolve administrar ao indivíduo uma composição nutricional, incluindo, não mais de, aproximadamente 7 g/100 kcal de uma fonte de gordura ou lipídio; não mais de, aproximadamente 7 g/100 kcal de uma fonte de proteína ou equivalente de proteína; pelo menos aproximadamente 5 g/100 kcal de um carboidrato, e pelo menos aproximadamente 9 mg/100 kcal de inositol, em que a razão de inositol exógeno para inositol inerente é de pelo menos 50:50.
